Pots are the breakable containers scattered through the rooms of every floor. Breaking them is one of the ordinary sources of loot.
Where they appear
Pots appear in most rooms, and some floors restyle them: Slime Pits turns them into slime bulbs and Forest uses mushroom pots. Some floors use pot objects in place of solid inner walls as the structural obstacle that limits a room's usable space.
What they give
Potions have a chance to drop from pots, as they do from Graves and Enemies. A Pot Mimic can spawn in place of any small chest, so a container is not always what it looks like.
Rings that interact with pots
The Slime Ring and the Spike Ring both carry a Pot breaking effect, which breaks pots automatically when you come near them.

Sources and community notes
- The Secret Rooms guide warns that pots inside secret rooms may be mimics, but rates them worth breaking anyway.
- A commenter on a strategy guide says that hitting hard objects such as pots wears out the Reforged Dussack faster, and recommends kicking pots instead.
