Kenneth

All that is known about this mysterious entity is that he is doomed to wander the halls of Dream in constant hunger, searching for the ring bearing his image." - Bestiary entry

Kenneth is a special enemy that only spawns if the player has the Kenneth debuff, granted by equipping Kenneth's Ring in any finger slot. If the player has this debuff, Kenneth will periodically spawn in at one of the entrances to the room the player is currently in and begin to chase them, being unable to leave the room he spawned in.

Strategy

Kenneth is very slow moving and his attack has a long windup. He can be overcome easily by almost any weapon, unless the player has a particularly slow attack speed. Kicking can be a particularly effective way to deal with Kenneth.

After taking damage three times, Kenneth will temporarily disappear. Kenneth can also be made non-hostile by using the Summon Food spell to satiate his hunger.

Community notes

Feeding Kenneth with Summon Food earns the "Kenneth's Friend" achievement. A forum commenter adds that feeding him lets you keep his ring without the side effect. See Achievements.

  • A commenter on the Spells guide says feeding Kenneth the summoned beetroot lets you keep his ring without the side effects.
