- Is it true that a blood wizard's mind is a prison?
Limbok is the final boss of Caves of Limbok.
Behaviour and Drops
Limbok has 1000 HP, and when killed will drop 5 gold, 5 hearts, and 5 big hearts, with a 50% chance to drop 15 hearts, and 15 gold, as well as a 100% chance to drop a Dream Sphere, and a random Ring. Limbok moves in relation to the player, and is capable of both melee and ranged attacks, as well as the ability to constantly summon up to 5 Limbok's Flying Skulls. Limbok's melee attacks consist of a defensive swipe inflicting 80 damage, an offensive thump inflicting 80 damage, and and offensive bite inflicting 80 damage. Limbok's ranged attack shoots magic orbs similar to Limbok's Flying Skull, dealing 30 damage upon contact. Upon defeating Limbok, the final portal will appear initiating Ending 1: Escape.
Sources and community notes
- The achievements guide lists "Secret Knowledge: input LIMBOK on the prison cell tablet". A forum post says doing so shows "Caves of Limbok unlocked". This conflicts with the hidden comment in this page's source, which says the name does nothing; the sources favour the name working.
- A thread notes the developer patched the game text that spoiled the name.
Community-sourced (added October 2026, not yet verified in-game). Sources: Steam guide: Achievements guide (updated Jan 11, 2025); Steam thread: name spoiler; Steam thread: Got spoiled by the game itself.
From the official manual
- The manual ends its character list with an unnamed figure marked "???", saying you are unsure who this is but that uncovering this person's identity is the key to your escape. The manual never gives the name, which supports the name puzzle being central and deliberately withheld.
From the game's official manual. Unlike the rest of the notes on this page, this is a primary source: it is the developer's own documentation, not community research.
