Flytrap

Flytrap

Flytrap.png "This horrible plant wants to eat flesh of those who pass over it. Plants like this have been known to dwell in the forests of the Coral Island."

The Flytrap begins spawning in Slime Pits, and will also spawn in River, and Forest. Flytraps can be killed but do not spawn as a part of the standard enemy spawn table, instead being categorized as Traps.

The Flytrap has 40 HP, and when killed will drop 1 gold, and 1 heart. Flytraps do not move and are not affected by knockback, instead acting as passive traps, biting the player when stepped on, inflicting 30 damage. This attack has enough delay that it can be initiated and avoided with enough speed and timing.

  • The achievements guide lists a Bestiary Keeper achievement, so every enemy page here matters for completing the Bestiary.

From the official manual

  • The manual lists carnivorous plants among the three perils it warns new players about, alongside deadly spikes and cursed fires.
